ABOUT MPDU
Madhya Pradesh Design Utsav (MPDU) is NID Madhya Pradesh’s annual design festival hosted to serve as a platform for institutions imparting design education, professionals and industry to come together, share information and build long-lasting relationships.
The fest is a step towards bringing India’s Design fraternity together and provide an opportunity to business, design students, Government functionaries and general public to interact with them. In this inaugural year, this festival will be held from 18th to 20th December 2019.
WHO ARE WE?
National Institute of Design Madhya Pradesh (NID- MP) is an autonomous institute under Department for Promotion of Industries and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India. NID Madhya Pradesh has commenced its first academic session from July 2019 in its own 29.4 acre campus at Acharpura, Eint-khedi,Bhopal. The Institute has been established with the primary motive of spreading and promoting design education, research and practices commensurate with the policies and schemes of the Government such as “Make in India”, “Skill India”, “Digital India”, “Startup India”, and “Smart City initiatives” to name a few. India needs the skill and expertise of professionally-trained designers to contribute to the national missions and making a favourable impact on the economic, social, cultural and environmental aspects.
